Venus Fly Trap

Love Note

Not everything is meant to stay.

I close on what no longer serves me—quick, without apology.

Releasing is part of my survival.

You’re allowed to choose yourself, again and again.

Care

Needs very bright light, even direct sun, to stay strong and active. Consistent growlight would be ideal.

Repot using a medium that holds moisture, Recommended repot with Sphagnum Moss & Perlite. Keep the soil consistently moist using distilled or rainwater—tap water can cause harm over time.

Usually catches its own food outdoors, Indoors, you can offer a small live or dried insect (such as a fly, gnat, or mealworm) every 2–4 weeks during the growing season. Never feed it meat, fertilizer, or human food.

Prefers higher humidity and good airflow to thrive.

Stays compact, typically around 4–6 inches, but will multiply and spread under the right care. Venus Fly Traps need a winter rest each year. It’s normal for traps to blacken and growth to slow from late fall through winter. Keep the soil slightly moist and provide cooler temperatures. New growth will return in spring.
